The design particularly incorporates "Hakka Red" as the main color for door frames, ceilings, and detailed decorations, symbolizing the warmth, simplicity, and cohesiveness inherent in Hakka culture.

This infusion of red into the otherwise white structure adds warmth and layered visual interest.

The interplay of red and white not only resonates with the Hakka community’s emotional connection to the color red but also reflects the fusion and coexistence of tradition and modernity.

The central open courtyard enhances community interaction and the spirit of communal living, transforming the space into more than just a functional facility — it becomes a vibrant place for residents to connect, share, and create together.

The overall design is rooted in respecting the local context, celebrating cultural identity, and responding to the environment, thus crafting a community space that embodies both local spirit and contemporary aesthetics.

The entrance of this building adopts a clean and modern architectural language, expressing both openness and a strong sense of identity as a public facility.

The façade features large folding glass doors and a grid-patterned window design that emphasizes transparency and visual flow.

This design allows natural light and indoor activities to seamlessly extend into the outdoor space, creating a visual connection between interior and exterior while reinforcing the building’s welcoming and community-oriented character.Above the entrance, the ceiling is adorned with geometric triangular patterns painted in bold red and white.

This striking design not only adds vibrancy to the space but also echoes the symbolic “Hakka Red,” representing cultural heritage and local identity. It also serves as a visual guide, naturally drawing visitors inward. Clear and minimalist signage on the exterior enhances wayfinding and user accessibility. Overall, the design strikes a balance between simplicity and modernity, blending local cultural symbolism with contemporary architectural expression to create a civic space with both distinctiveness and a strong sense of community belonging.

This architectural space blends the imagery of Daxi’s mountainous landscape with a modern aesthetic, transforming natural and cultural elements into a serene and artful interior.

The main visual feature on the wall is composed of abstract linework depicting undulating mountain ranges—an homage to the terrain and scenic beauty of Daxi.

The soft color palette draws inspiration from the hues of the forest at dawn, sunset, and throughout the changing seasons, evoking a sense of warmth and organic movement.

The circular pendant lights hanging from the ceiling resemble full moons emerging from mountain mist, creating a poetic dialogue with the mountain imagery on the wall.

Meanwhile, the wood-textured flooring echoes the feel of forest trails, enhancing the space’s warmth and approachability. Through the integration of clean lines, natural tones, and local symbolism,

the design embodies the concept of “a shared space within a mountain town,” reflecting Daxi’s geographic character and cultural richness while offering a tranquil, open, and inclusive environment for community gatherings.
